The seven sisters originated from Greek myth and not really from Maori myths depending on what you have heard. The seven sisters are the daughters of Paleo and Atlas. Whaea Chanella told us it and the myth goes that their parents threw their daughters ( the seven sisters) up into the sky to escape the wrath of the god Zeus.
So that is the origin of the Greek version of the seven sisters.
The origin of the Maori version of the seven sisters is that TaWhirimatea ( the god of wind) disliked the idea his parents ( Rangi and Papa) getting separated, so he went out beating up his brothers because he didn't like the fact that his siblings or brothers wanted their parents separated. He could beat up his brothers but one, which was Tumatauenga ( the god of war). So because he got beaten up by Tumatauenga, he threw his eyes into his dads chest which created the first stars, the seven sisters that we all know. So TaWhirimatea is known as the blind god because he has no eyes. So that is how Maori version of the seven sisters goes.

My Hour Of Code Certificate
Here is the image of my certificate that I earned on hour of code on Tuesday.
Hour Of Code
We have been learning to code. The coding I chose was the Minecraft coding activity.
I enjoyed how challenging the levels were and coding the characters to make them do stuff.
It was challenging when I got a little bit stuck on level 11 but after awhile I figured it out.
I helped others by telling them how to solve the levels that they were stuck on.
I didn't need help on any of the levels
It took my about an hour to finish the 12 stages. When I finished the 12 stages I got a certificate. I took screenshots as I worked my way through the stages. When you look at the screenshots you can see how I used blocks to create the code which made the characters move.
Here are some screenshots of my coding.

My Future Career
My Future Career
I am learning to present my future career.
In 8 years time I will be 20 and my dream is that I would be playing basketball in the NBA.
What subjects in college I think is important for me to learn?
The subjects that are important and I need to learn are: English, mathematics and writing.

Why is basketball my passion?
My passion is basketball because I watched Stephen Curry all the time. I just love it when he shoots three pointers, I like how he respects his teammates and I like it when he cross people. So it inspired me to be a basketball player. The best game I've seen him play was in the 2017 NBA finals when him and his team won the championship.
What is the NBA?
The NBA is a premier basketball league for men in America. The NBA stands for national basketball association. It has 30 teams and thousands of players. The NBA was founded in New York City on June the 6th, 1946.

The Marvelous Dolphins
WALT write a descriptive piece of writing about the picture of the dolphins.
The Marvelous Dolphins
These particular Dolphins, I can say that these Dolphins are one of a kind. The way they jump up in the air is unique and breathtaking. These dolphins are one of a kind. These are just amazing dolphins.
Up and down the Dolphin goes as the sun goes around the Earth.
It went on for a while. Up and down they go. The water look as if it was a toxic green type of water. I wonder why they can jump so high.
I wonder why, I wonder why.
They splash and splash as they jump in the air. They look so grey that they look like a stormy cloud that is about to drop big buckets of water. They are just marvelous!
